1992 skylark leaking water
I have a 1992 buick skylark, Just bought this car. I was wondering if this is a common problem with these. There is a puddle on the front drivers side, sometimes in a heavy enough rain, it moves to the back Dr. side. I put some cauking under the cowl, still leaks. I know these leaks can be difficult to trace, so if anyone has a similar problem please let me know. Thanks

Re: 1992 skylark leaking water
Your problem is with the firewall. There is a hole rusted through it and the rain coming through that. I had a '93 that did the same thing and my brother's '93 Grand AM (sister car) also did it, but eventually his firewall got so bad that the steering came loose from it. You could try to find the leak and bondo it up from either the outside or inside.

Found it! right below the steering column where the floor meets the firewall. Thanks a million!
