2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited

I been having a couple of problems with my truck. First I can only roll the rear windows down 1/4 of the way. Plus my brakes squell t thought it was the brake pads but I took it to Sear and they said everything is OK. After I stop the truck I hear a wierd sound coming from the left side of the engine near the glove box it sounds like something is scrapping or something to that extent it doesn't happen all the time but it sound wierd. And to top it off my fuel gauge is not reading right. I need some help bad.
