BOV on a non turbo car?!
what up , i just recently heard that it is possible to put a BOV on a non turbo car. Does anyone know how to do this? I know its some shit people would do to a honda civic but i am just curious on how it can be hooked up and make the sound without a turbo.

I don't know what it'd do...
You can get a BOV-ish sound with the right air filter. I have the HKS dual cone-style filters... not an enclosed system at all like the stock setups are on basically every car... when it sucks in air after you let off the gas it is really loud, sounds like some BOVs.

A blow off valve without a Turbo would be something like this.
http://www.takakaira.com/accessories...ightpager.html If you're actually considering putting a mod on your car that doesn't do anything other then make noise, I'd suggest an upgraded stereo. Never pay again for live sex! | Hot girls doing naughty stuff for free! | Chat for free!

It still escapes me why people want the image of performance more than real performance. My car is for me to enjoy, and I don't get much use out of fake parts.
But, if you want people to think you have a turbo hidden somewhere under there, get that BOV sound generator, an air filter that looks like a BOV (they call them 'heat shield' air filters), and a plastic intercooler to complete the effect. Just make sure you only race other posers.

You can also get the plastic wheel covers from wal-mart that have the fake cross-drilled rotors included. You'll definately need some serious imaginary stopping power when you're running high boost on the imaginary turbo.
