Reji Models' 405 pikes peak transkit (review)
![]() I am very happy I can rest my greedy paws on this great little piece of transkit, made by Czech company Reji. The transkit, which is available exclusively from the Nimpex.de onlineshop, and only for Europeans, is very nice IMHO. The price is 35.00 Euro's without shipping, pretty steep, so only for real enthusiast people about this car. ![]() It features all the necessary parts, in-and outside for making a perfect replica (with decals ), off course you still need the basiskit which is this one; ![]() I think most of you know this Pikes Peak Peugeot as the star of the movie "Climb Dance", the best car movie ever;; and available HERE! CLIMBDANCE AND PEUGEOT PICTURES The kit offers to make the 88 and 89 winner. The resin looks great and very clean, typical high grade resin stuff with no holes at all... ![]() Also, I have to say -as I haven't made any resin kit- that the instructions are superbly done, not at all what I'd expect from such a small production. All in all I m very happy I bought this kit, and hope I can start it as soon as some in progress stuff is finished, I ll keep you updated. Questions, comments, remarks? Happy Olivier |

That's excellent news; I've wanted a kit of that since I saw it in Rallisport Challenge. Do you know if Nimpex will sell to the UK because their website is all in German?

Re: Reji Models' 405 pikes peak transkit (review)
Only available to Europeans? Please tell me that ain't so!
I simply must get hold of one of these transkits, probably a couple since the wheels look pretty close to those on the 205T16 Evo2. Will have to get in touch with my regular Reji supplier, Wong at MediaMix, and see if he can get some. |

Well, Phil, as it says on the box; exclusive for Nimpex , and Nimpex.de only ships in Europe... seems pretty strange to me... As for me, I ve looked a bit more close into the transkit, and some things come into mind as there are some things I will have to do when I start mine... is to make windows that are clear of the plexiglass openings, so that will probably mean to thermoform some... and then to scratchbuild some interior stuff, like transform the dash and some very minor mods like some arch flaring on the front... but hey, as Alex said, I ve got shit to do first! Re: Reji Models' 405 pikes peak transkit (review)
Phil, if you want to, me or perhaps Oli could order a set from them and then ship it to you (Oli's a better idea because it will take less time for the order to arrive at his door).
Another option would be to get in touch with Reji directly and see what they can suggest. They're fast when replying, but you can't pay with the credit card, so some other way to pay would need to be found.

Re: Reji Models' 405 pikes peak transkit (review)
One question before I put in my order. The decal sheet, is it a complete one or do you need the original Tamiya sheet as well?
Ever since I saw Vatanen's attack on Pikes Peak I've been a big fan of these specialized cars. Could someone please also do Per Eklund's SAAB Viggen special (on my knees beging). Niclas |

Re: Reji Models' 405 pikes peak transkit (review)
the transkit has got a smallish decal sheet, so you need to have the pioneer car too, and get ready to look for correct tyres, as the ones in the pioneer kit are way too thick, and there is still a bit of detailwork to be done yourself.
