High clearance U-Bolt plates?

http://www.outdoorwire.com/4x4/news/...on/UBSKIDDERZ/

At the end of the article it says that they are in the design phase for the Xterra.

Hey that is a greeat idea!!! The shocks do hand down way to low!!! I know ToeJam has bent one of his and am sure someone else has too. Only (bad) thing is that we'd need to order different length shocks!!!

Maybe it was a good thing that I ordered the no lift shocks after all .

I wonder how long it will be before this part is out for the X.

Cool. I had talked to FSR a bit about making something like this but had forgotten about it.

Looks like an good idea and design.

Interesting that they choose to design the units for Isuzu's first. Why not jeeps or other rigs that are known for being taken offroad? When was the last time you saw a Trooper out in the mud!!

I guess that tells you what cars they drive!

I think it is because they specialize in Izuzu products.

You guys realize that post is almost 2 years old right ?

Still none for the Xterra, and you'd all have to buy new rear shocks anyway.

Price ? $250 a pair. No thanks, I'll just drive more carefully.

Maybe CALMINI will fab some up over the weekend and sell them for $50.

Nope, just saying that they could probably do it, at a good price.

Are they ?

AC has been selling the same stuff for Nissans for years (most of which they don't manufacture). Since the Xterra was released they have created only 1 new product for it, their steering system.

EOE has created two products in that amount of time, rock sliders and tie-rods.

CALMINI has created 15 new parts for the Xterra in only 1 year.
They're doing more for the Xterra than everyone else combined. They also make all of their parts in house instead of farming it out (except exhaust, shocks and springs).

Very similar, a lot of good products in a short amount of time for the Xterra. SLR has been making parts for Nissans longer than anyone though.
