Fake Skylines
Are there any vehicles in the U.S. that possibly share the same chassis with an R32-34 skyline??? I was wonder because I was thinking of getting a US car w/ same chassis and building my own skyline with imported parts. If this seems like a stupid question to some of you please go easy on me since 'till recently I had only done research on my 240SX. TIA for any info.

Re: Fake Skylines
There aren't any US cars that share a chassis with the Skyline. Otherwise, there probably would not have been so many issues with getting them legalized, because there would be a similar chassis here.
Now there are probably some cars that share parts with the Skyline, but I doubt it would be enough to make a difference.

Re: Fake Skylines
Stagea isnt in the states either dude... And there is no comparison to it.
The closest you would get would be S13-S14 chassis. But would it really be worth it to custom fabricate all of those parts to make a 240sx look like something its not? May be cool... But wont be worth the effort. -Wes

Re: Fake Skylines
if there were skyline chassis then maybe we wouldnt have to much for the legalizezations for a skyline here in the US, maybe nissan should of sold something like the stagea, but the stagea does not share the same chassis, like Samhaim said the closest we can get is the silvia chassis.

I've seen it done. Some guy dumped thousands into 2 different 240's. One he had a full r33 GT-R front clip on (fenders foward) with GT-R badges all over the place, even on the 240sx rear end. Also GT-R stitching all over the seats and crap. The second one he did was a full out 240 conversion to an r32. Both looked like crap :/. r32: http://www.importculture.com/photovi...to=cars108.jpg http://www.importculture.com/photovi...to=cars110.jpg r33: http://www.importculture.com/photovi...to=cars109.jpg |
