Comparison of Car Education
Hi, Im semi-new here.. i've had a membership before but can't find the info.. so i started another one.. after gazing at some of the more recent posts in this forum alone. I'm forced to wonder about the amount of intelligence here in relation to cars and their comparisons. I glanced at this v6 thread and everyone just kept bashing camaroincal's car. I mean, what did he say that was so wrong? He was the only one who posted links to things he said, while everyone else just insulted him. He said his car's not fast.. just quick.. and you guys couldn't handle that. He was the only one who had posts that actually made car to car claims and provided facts. But everyone just badgered him.. yet he's the one that should be banned. I think he added more information in his posts alone then you'll read from nearly half the people on this board. So my question is this. Of the people on this board who has experience working and racing with cars? Especially with the v6 camaro from that thread with camaroinical? Because in all actuality I don't see much. Furthermore... people depending the M3s.. great car no doubt.. but you guys had the nerve to call him a v8 wannabe.. yet maybe you should be called a 7 series wannabe.. i dunno, there are always cars better and camaroincal put forth his best efforts of moderation while everyone else had nothing intelligent to say. Sad

http://www.supercars.net/cars/1997@$...Si%20AWDg.html the camaro weighs more and has less hp then an eclipse wich runs low 15's, meaning it would be obvious a maro will be running mid to high 15's need more proof?

Re: Comparison of Car Education
For Christ's sake, let's just go to www.car-stats.com
1999 Camaro V6: 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 16.1 seconds 1995 Eclipse GSX: 0-60 in 6.4 seconds, 1/4 mile in 14.9 seconds Well there you have it, the Eclipse GSX is over a full second faster than the V6 Camaro. What's more, it's much easier to tune up the GSX than the V6 Camaro. There's a reason that almost every major drag strip in America is positively gluted with 10 second DSMs. There's a reason that just about every Camaro at these same drag strips is a souped-up Z28. The Camaro V6 is just not made to go fast. Get over it. By the way, www.car-stats.com compiles reliable times from official magazine tests over the years, so don't even try to argue those numbers. |
