Good independent or dealer VW repair place in San Deigo??

Subject says it all. I have had really really bad experience with Miramar VW. I don't even know how those guys became authorized dealers or maybe VW criteria is not soo good.

thanks in advance

Re: Good independent or dealer VW repair place in San Deigo??

Sorry for the long delay, I had not read the forum in a while.

I had many issues with Metro Volkswagen, the latest one was when I went to them because my passenger door did not work, they quoted me $250 plus labor to replace the handle, after reading some threads, I found out that the problem is a small pin that fell out of place in the system, I replaced it with a small screw. I am not going to the dealer anymore !!!

There a few good guys in San Diego, one is Rudy Lusty in the North Park area, they are at Park Blvd and El Cajon Blvd, they are pricey, but good, and their mechanics are certified. Another good place is in La Mesa/San Diego, on the intersection of Kiowa and Lake Murray Blvd, accross from Starbucks.

I go to another place, it is called AA Budget transmissions, they are not VW certified mechanics, but they are very good with finding problems, they are in El Cajon at 140 W. Bradley Ave.

Good luck

My roomate and I went there all the time when we lived there. He is good and honest. Always fixed the problems, and never overcharged.
