Altezza, Celsior etc..?
Can anyone provide a short summary of the Japanese names of certain cars?
I know Altezza = IS, but RS200 = IS300?? Celsior = LS400? what is GS, and what are some other cars seen in the States that are made into models, with their other names? And also, clearcoat (TS13) seems to be running and cracking my decals on my tamiya subaru wrc 2001 gb.. does it do this to all decals? I used sharpie and fine-tip pen for the window trim, and that started running too.. Thanks! |

Re: Altezza, Celsior etc..?
It would take weeks to change them all, because most of them change names when coming to the states from pretty much every manufacturer

IS200 and IS300 are the same car (Altezza) except few change (light on the side of the car (orange) aren't in the same place on IS200 (front bumper) and IS300(near doors))

BTW, IS200 and IS300 are too the same car, the main difference being the engine (at least here in Portugal). Toyota Vitz = Toyota Echo = Toyota Yaris |

That's not really true.. That is only on the US-spec models. If you take a look at US Golfs and European Golfs, you'll see that they, too, have different bumpers. See what I mean? |

not only am i a Lexus fan but a lexus owner and lexus owners club member. And peter is right, there is no external diferences between the IS200 and IS300 except the Badges and maybe a couple of little interior bits.
One thing i cant understand for the life of me is why in the uk the IS300 is only aviailiable in Auto box, and in the US you can get it in manual and auto. Manual gear boxes are so much fun and would suit the UK's roads a lot more i think, the extra power would make it a lot more fun. (Am considering getting the HKS stroker crank for my IS200 as it takes the displacement to 2.4 litres. should be fun!) hehe gotta get new badges IS240 |
