Mclaren in Japan?

Hey, I think I read and old post where someone said that a Mclaren was located in Japan somewhere. I think it was said to be an LM, but I'm not sure. I'll be leaving for Japan in December and I just wanted some clarification as to it's whereabouts so I can be on the lookout. I would appretiate some info. Thanks!

A japanese owns the three models of road Mclaren :

McLaren F1 Road car
McLaren F1 LM ( http://www.tu5j4.com/MC_F1LM.html )
McLaren F1 Road car Longtail ( http://www.tu5j4.com/MC_F1GT.html )

But where are the cars ?, are they approachable for the public ?

I don't know sorry.

But If you find them, you have to post here, at least 100 pics of each ;-)

Yeah - jump the rope!!

We REALLY need to know what the chassis number is on that F1 LM if you happen to see these cars and are able to find out.

I also saw an F1 running in the Japanese touring car series, so there must be four of them there.

Re: Mclaren in Japan?

There's probably more than four - jkbon wasn't saying that those were the only three, just that one Japanese owner does own three.

There have been several GTRs that have competed in the ATGTC - at least four that I'm aware of. Two of them have had a total of five seperate liveries making them appear to be different cars altogether. One of them is the car that was recently in the hands of Symbolic Motorcars here in the US so it's no longer there. One is still running in the series I believe.

There are other customer F1s in Japan - I have seen photos of a silver road car, a red road car (might be the one in the US now) and also a 'Ueno Gray-look' road car with a GTR windshield banner - that one made me laugh. There are probably a few others which haven't been spotted as well.

jomo - as far as I'm aware, there are no photos of either of the black LM's. There was a car featured on the Motorcars Intl website which would give the best idea of what a black LM would look like, but it was simply a 1998 road car with the LM-kit added.

Yeah, that's funny...like it needs the GTR introduction.

I laughed because it was a road car, and not a GTR. It did have the paint colors of the Ueno-Clinic car, but wasn't even wearing the LM-kit.

Since none of the road cars are listed as being painted Ueno Gray, I can only imagine this was done for a customer as a refit.
