Questions regaurding Modding a 300ZX
Ok, I'm getting a 1992 300ZX TT T-Top, now I have a few questions about what I can do to it. 1) Is there any 6 speed Manual that I could have swapped in? 2) Can I fit 12 in wide wheels in the rear with OUT them poking out and looking goofy? 3) With stillin blow off Valves what is the max PSI I could run the stock turbos at and not damage my car/the turbo's? How about with a Stage 3 or 4 HKS upgrade? 4) Can I do a Lambo Door mod to it?
Thanks for the help.

1) Havent heard of 1 but anything is possible
2) Dont think so?... Ive had 10s on the rear and that was pretty close to 'poking out'! 3) 15 -16 PSI in both cases. 4) Yep... not cheap though |

First thing you should do is get a FULL vehicle inspection...compression, timing, replace bad hoses and wires, plugs (debate on Iridium vs. Platinum), and so on. When that's in top shape, go for the Pop Charger Intake, Cat back Exhaust and ECU upgrade with boost jets. Use cooler spark plugs when upping the boost and never use cheap gas. California sucks with 91 Octane but if you live somewhere else, cool. There's also "race gas" 76 100 Octane Fuel sold in 5 gallon containers. Recommend using straight and FEEL the power, but mixing also works. Question 1) I believe there is but you don't need it. After removing the top speed limiter, you can get up to 170 mph on a stock Z. With the above upgrades and help from that Tranny Tech, you can get over 190!!!
2)You don't need 12's and they won't fit. 3)There's a debate on BOV's, you don't need them unless you get into the upper 500HP range. The Z's stock recirc's work better than BOV's. Instead of venting the excess air, the recircs store it and let you use it later. see link below. 4)Yes, parts not too expensive but labor will be. It is Sick looking on the Z!!! http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FA.../tiresize.html http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/bov.html
