Engine Swap 2002 Ram 1500 4.7L to 5.9L Hemi
I just got a used truck that is in excellent interior and exterior condition but there is one problem. The engine is too small for me. It has a 4.7L V8 about 235 horsepower if I remember and it hurts me lol.
I was thinking about getting an SRT10 in it but that's too much so I am now deciding to get the 5.9L V8 Hemi as it's the only other engine that the 2002 model was produced with. I just need to know where to get one, how much they usually are, and what I need to do to my truck to get it to work? |

i know this post is a year old, but engines can be found from jegs, summit racing, your dealer, even a junkyard. you will need at least the engine and whatever is on it, plus probably the tranny and wire harness and ecu.
