Revell 1/25 2010 Ford Mustang GT (view inside of the box)

Hello folks,
I just got it from a local hobby store.
Hope it'll be good information to those who have waited new muscle so long time!

First impression

-much realistic tire & wheel size (compared with previous one, undersized tire wall & oversized wheel. still, it would be much better if the overall size of wheel & tire is slightly bigger.)
-fitting problem on the rear bump part (which is not very serious)
-simplified brake light
-nice decal selection (which gives you 3 types of stripe colors)
-much improved tire quality (than before; soft & clean)

Looks Good, do you know if there are any carryover parts from the 05 Mustang? Cant wait till the GT500 version comes out!!!
I heard somewhere that there was going to be a 1:12 new mustang, anyone know more?

Have you built a Ford lately?
I'm disappointed that there is only one set of wheels, but not surprised.
Sadly i've got years of Ferrari's to get caught up on before i get to another Ford.

Such a shame Revell didn't wait(make us wait) just a little longer and make the 5.0 version! O well:/ I LOVE the wheel choice they did for this one. Much better than the 05. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Nice pictures, Thanks.

Looks like a pretty good kit. Seems to have a lot of good molded in detail. Still not sure about the tires though.

Thanks for the review, looks promising with the motor. But i do agree i would prefer bigger wheels.

It looks cool, but the interior tub and chassis look pretty much close to the 2005 version if not the exact match. Can't wait to get my hands on one!

Yes, the 1/12 scale 2010 Ford Shelby GT 500 by Revell is number 85-2623. This will be a fall release (Sept 2011) if I recall correctly. Scalemotor Sports will be releasing a PE set for this model either late 2011 or early 2012.

I just got the 1/25 kit myself kit myself and it's not bad for the price. It will be easy for revell to release a version of the 2011/2011 5.0 since this kit has two small trees making up to older 4.6 engine. Yeah, I can see several future releases with the new 5.0, GT 500 and Boss 302 down the road in this scale.

This kit has the 19 inch bright machined aluminum optional wheels and premier trim interior with color leather trimed seating. So paint the very thin stripe in the middle is either a blue or cashmere color to make it right.

Re: Revell 1/25 2010 Ford Mustang GT

Yeah, it's a little bit for those of us who wanted the new 5.0 (surprising from a guy with an avatar like mine, I know), but this kit is pretty nicely done. Even though Revell may have gone back to some of their previous masters to develop this one, there is NO tooling in common between it and any of the previous '06-'08 cars.

In addition to that marvelous 1/12 GT500 coming up, Revell will have a 1/25 2010 GT500 for later in the fall, and a snap-together kit of the convertible - test shots of which show a separate hood, and therefore some potential compatibility with the glue-together coupe.
