Porsche 935 Goerg LOOS 1/24
Hello,
After I've build the 935 in Jägermeister livery I decided to build another body in Georg Loos Livery. This livery is different from the Jägermeister version, since the side skirts are not there and the rear air intakes are different. Both cars are started from the 1/24 Porsche 935 in Martini livery, where de rear arches have been changed. ( you can see the 935 jägermeister in the completed gallery )http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1057277 The version I would like to build is the number 66, driven bij Rolf Stommelen during the German Rennsportmeisterschaft 1977. I've made the rear end with plasticard, and a lot of sanding down gave me this result. In the mean time the body sits in it's red color, awaiting for the decals to apply. The chassis is an old one and has to be painted and modified. Thanks for looking. |

Again nice job! It's a lot work. Now don't you want to make some nice resin copies to sell to us 935 heads? pretty please..?

Re: Porsche 935 Goerg LOOS 1/24
Hello guys,
another update, the decals are applied to the model, I bought them from Decaldoc, very nice decals, they applied very well. Only the white decal on the door didn't cover well, which I've replaced with some white decal from Carpena. I've also covered the model with clear from Gunze. There are some minor faults in the paint, but I could live with this. I don't think my modeling skills are good enough to make this model in resin, and I don't have any experience with casting in resin, sorry. In january I'll meet someone who has experience with it. ( but I can't promise anything ) I'm planning to make a third model from the 935, but when I don't know. First finish this one, still a lot to do. Thanks for looking. |

Well keep up the good work! Can't wait to see it finished. What's the third gonna be? BTW did that decal sheet come with the wheel cooler "spokes"?

Re: Porsche 935 Goerg LOOS 1/24
@ baxter,
no, the wheel cooler spokes are taken from the Capri kit. ( I'm not sure if you mean this ) What livery the next one will be? I would love to build the later Martini version, ( like the 1/12 Tamiya version ) but the decals would be the problem. I'm thinking of using the decals from the ESCI Baby Porsche, but I'll have to try this. And off course the front light conversion will be an advantage. I know Scale Designs have made it, but very hard to find and very expensive. |
