Good idea. I can print it out and tell everyone that I drew it.

This R-34 is watching you

Well, here is the progress. I know it seems slow going, and it is.

This is probably my last post before I finish the car.

Enjoy, and thanks for checking it out.

f**k me!!!!

well ill be going down my local art shop to invest in some decent pencils. i think with a bit of time and patience i could do something like that. thanks al, i never thought a pencil sketch could look so good:flash:

do you have one of those fine detail erasers, like mentionaed in thom taylors book? it just looks (to me anyway) like you used it quite a bit for some of the highlights.

Do you smudge the pencil, or are you using just a soft pencil?

I used a .5mm mechanical pencil with 2B lead. Most of the entire drawing is done with the mechanical pencil. Did use a little bit of hard lead pencils (lights) for the windshield. I used smugging sticks called 'stumps' I used a kneadable eraser. And for the first time I used a typewriter eraser. It looks like a pencil 'has wood on the outside' with a brush on one end. I tried to find them at Staples but I could only get them online, and I had to buy a whole box of them, for only 8 $

http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Brows...1&Sku=PAP74106

For the fine highlights I used the eraser stick 'typewriter eraser' and cut up a Staedtler Plastic eraser with an X-acto knife. Remembr to clean you erasers when doing highlights because they might leave a dark smug instead of removing graphite.

I hope this helps.

I feel like crying. It is so beautiful. How, how, how did you do the headlights, and the shading... and the whole thing!!! It's just too good. Make sure you post the pic as soon as you get finished.
