TCC not engaging, '88
The only reason I know the tcc doesn't engage is because the speedometer quit working and the cable drives my vss on the rear of the speedo panel. I got a default code of 24. The question is this...Will It hurt my tranny to tow my boat? I can get parts at my boating destination, or I have to wait for mail delivery and possibly the incorrect part. Havasu is 130 miles away.

Re: TCC not engaging, '88
It shoudl not damage the transmission. However, with the constant slippage of the TC (normal in a non-TCC application) the transmission oil will tend to heat more. As long as the temperature stays reasonable, there should be no problems aside from the error code and higher fuel consumption. If the trans cooler is not up to the task, there may be issues, and it might be good to change the trans oil and screen then fix the speedo cable.
