no. that's not what i meant. i was trying to say that you should get an engine swap then go turbo. since your working with a limited budget you need to save. it takes time and in the end it will be what you wanted. check the sig. you think i got that over night? no man it took me months and now it's all coming together. if you want to stay d series then i would suggest talking to the guys on www.d-series.org they can help you better than i can.

id definately go turbo but youre gonna have to do a lot of internal work on a d-series to make it reliable.

Re: im lookin for about 200 hp out of my 1.6L d16A

You can easily hit 185 on a homemade turbo kit. At any rate, a CX manifold with an adapter plate can suffice as a turbo mani, get a junkyard turbo, some DSM 440 injectors, a cheap intercooler like johnboy racing, the piping, etc. You'll have to take it to a muffler shop or somewhere for the downpipe, etc to be made. You can have a place tune it on a rom buring program like chrome.

Do a search on here, there are quite a few older threads with some good info for you on this.

Even if you buy a pre-made turbo kit, 200hp is abotu the max I'd suggest on stock internals tuned right, but it's easily doable. I have a buddy in seattle hitting a dyno tuned 185 easy on a honemade turbo kit. It's not the sexiest set-up in the world, but if you don't give a rats ass how it looks there you go.

dude you have to turbo it. dont supercharge it. turbo you get that blow off valve. with a front wheel drive you want a turbo becuase you already have a problem hooking up. and you want that turbo . supercharger you have the power off of idle. trust me on this you wont regret it.
