vtec not working yet working
well i drove my 95 civic ex one day and it was all cool. then me and this dude switched cars for a day and when i got it back he said vtec was not working. he had tried to go fast but it just went blah. so he took it to his friends house who has a 98 ex. they compared them by revving them up and sure enough my ex was acting like a dx. the guy said that once oil pressure is under 40 psi vtec wont work, then once you add the oil you have to reset the computer. well they checked the oil and it was low so they added some. i took her home and put in some oil then disconnected the battery for a few minutes. then i got in the car and yes! vtec was kicking in oh yeah. then the battery somehow disconnected itself, and when i went to drive it, vtec was not working. so i disconnected the battery again but it did not help. my question is, what am i to do? please help me the mustangs are laughing at me

Re: vtec not working yet working
make sure all the switches that control vtec are working properly.... sounds like an intermitant bad sensor problem.
