A big advantage the SH has is the ATTS. It really makes the Prelude handle much less like a front wheel drive car in the corners. And that's one of the problems I've experienced with the RXS. You have to be careful not to light up the inside front tire coming out of tight turns or even at intermediate speeds where you've unweighted the front inside wheel. Quick reference for both of them, if I might say so: carbuzzard.com

Re: 2004 RSX Type-S vs 2001 Prelude Sh

I say go with the Prelude SH it will be a more unique ride, weighs a tiny bit more than the RSX but makes up for with Active Torque Transfer which will make a difference when daily driving on windy country roads. Also insurance will be about the same and if you are getting for a cheaper price since it a few years older.

When it comes to tuning you can start swapping in JDM Type S engine parts while modifying the exhaust and installed a CAI or there have been some who managed to mount a K20/24 engine in.

Btw, now I know how Honda developed SH-AWD.
