In need of help...
Up til 3 weeks ago, I had no clue (not to mention interest) in cars.
At all. However, I got a '91 2-door 2l Skyline GTS and caught the proverbial bug of car-fever. But, I'm chronically pissed-off with the Auto transmission, so I'm all up for ditching it in favour of a manual. So I talked to a friend of mine, who told me that there's compression and big words like that to worry about if I just changed the transmission, and I'd be better to drop the whole bloody engine out and chuck in a manual. Effectively, I'm on my knees begging for someone to tell me what the hell I have to do and buy, and approximately how much I'm looking at. Many thanks, Andy Thomas PS Should there be anything else to my model than just GTS? Because that's all it says on the car. Excuse the ignorance. |

Say what??????????
It is nothing more than swapping the trans, driveshaft (need a manual one or get your's modified) hook up the reverse light, change the center council to accept the stick, peddle box, and clutch master cylinder plus lines. It is for the most part a pretty straight forward swap. Don't forget the flywheel
