Re: converting a car from lhd to rhd

You need to fabricate your own dashboard, or get a rhd dash from the auto's original maker or some import business. Then you need to move everything over to the right side, cut holes in the firewall for the stuff, and learn to shift with your left hand

You will likely have to extend your cables for the pedals, too...forgot about that...

Re: converting a car from lhd to rhd

To have it done? A hefty amount of money. A lot of fabrication, new wires, extending wires, perhaps flipping the steering rack around? Not to mention it would take several weeks, probably over a month...

Re: converting a car from lhd to rhd

i always wanted to do that but if you buy exactly the same car from london or australia you will be getting a free rhd conversion and the car may be cheaper!

A member in the Honda section, E_Honda, is converting his LHD civic to RHD. It's a heck of a lot of work. I suggest you pm him and ask him about it, as he is doing the work himself so he knows about it firsthand.

Here is a link to a thread where he's been talking about it some.
