Painting white-walls on tires tip
I came across an easy way to apply paint to tires.
First wash your tires with mild detergent and water. Rinse Then spray a light coating of dull coat or the like. Now cut out your mask template and apply. (sticks better with the (dull coat on) Apply your white paint -[in my case i used gloss white] Remove masking and apply a small amount of dull coat. Whall ahh - it came out awsome!!! I searched and couldnt find anything about this topic, so if this has been discussed before, SORRY!! John |

Thanks 007ightning, looks good. I've been wondering how to get paint to stick to that slippery vinyl.

Re: Painting white-walls on tires tip
Enamels and lacquers don't adhere to vinyl well, they actually remain tacky just about forever.
Using acrylics is necessary whenever doing whitewalls or tyre lettering on viny tires.

Re: Painting white-walls on tires tip
Easy way for people to make full whitewalls on Rods or vintage cars, that'll help a whole bunch of people, thanks. Maybe you can make a how-to for the depository.

Re: Painting white-walls on tires tip
Thats easier that the way i do it (by eye with a steady hand...and it usually looks like crap). Deffinately one for the how-to depository.
Peace, Troy
