2006 Tucson Rear seatbelt buckle

I have a cousin who just bought a 2006 Tucson (approx 6000 kms). The rear seats fold down flat. Both seat belt buckles in the rear have gotten caught somewhere during lowering and raising of the seats. Now both buckles are broken (plastic housing is busted off). Hyundai says that they wil not cover this under warranty. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, did this get covered by Hyundai? Thanks

Re: 2006 Tucson Rear seatbelt buckle

Thats odd, my seat buckle got broken a while back and they replaced it without any mention that its not covered or not. I have a 2002 Santa Fe and my buckle broke in 2005. Strange how you have a brand new Tuscon and they say its not covered. Maybe you should check with another dealership.
