Will an "03 Grill Fit an "02 WRX???
as some of you know i bought a used subaru WRX 2002, and the previous owner modded some of the body and made it look bad in my opinion.
not everything is bad but some things he did really perk my attation. anyways, ive been looking all around for the factory grill (beehive style) and i found a guy on ebay selling one but his is off an "03. heres where im confused. ^^^this is a picture of my car, notice the grill setup. ^^^this is the factory grill on an "02 just like mine. the factory grill looks to be 2 pieces, while the one on mine is 1 piece. heres the grill being sold on ebay. from the picture it looks purple, and the seller hasnt replied on my questions, so i guess ill have to paint it black or something. but will this piece fit my "02??? this piece is off an "03, and somehow i think im screwed for the moment. the fuckers at subaru dealership are asking 150 bucks for the factory grill, and thats at dealer's cost, wich i know is a total lie. if anyone can answer these questions or perhaps give me some sort of help reguarding a factory grill for my "02, i would really apreciate it. thanks. |

The 03 grill and the 02 grill are the same, BUT they are 2 piece like you said, and without those little side pieces it won't work on your car. It'll fit, but there will be big holes on both sides of the grill.

yes, that was just my assumption though, i was hoping the grill on mine could pop out the back or something, and i could slide in the beehive grill.
im still waiting for my wrx to arrive, so i have to guess everything and look at the pictures for refrence. once it arrives ill take it apart to verify anything, but sadly the auctions end before it will arrive. i just gave up a pre-painted 2004 subaru STI wing, real thing, complete. for $266 USD, what a bargin, but ill have to wait until my car comes in before i can make any real purchaces like that. if i knew a retailer that had factory subaru parts for a good price, id be less worried about winning these auctions. |
