1996 XJ6 misses at idle!
Hello, I have a 96 xj6, with about 130k on the odometer, currently the engine misfires at idle every 3 to 5 seconds. When driving it runs smooth as ever and has slightly less power, but thats probably due to the age of the engine. If you have any advice to remedy the problem I would greatly appreciate your help.

Clean the throtle body. Do you have a check engine light on? You could have oil around the spark plugs(bad cylinder head cover gasket), deposits around coils, bad coils.
The engine is not old at 130k. |
