Blayne, the wrath of your wife is NOTHING compared to my own. Tread lightly.

See Saturn, you told me you had these guys all whipped into shape. I had my doubts and now they are confirmed.

Re: Convo Spawned from Helmets Thread
Well, let me keep myself from getting in trouble too much here. You guys all have to deal with the "wrath of the infamous ban-stick" here, but I have to deal with her in person.
I will email her the pictures I have and she can decide if she wants to put them up on here or not. Personally, I think you should be begging for the "thong/wedgie shot" from the Mount a few summers back - IT IS A CLASSIC! She will have the pictures I still have sometime this afternoon / evening and then we will let her decide if they go up. (I am not a dumb man here boys, I know the wrath of a bitter woman is nothing I wish to deal with at this time... Not that she isn't a big wussy, I just really don't want to have to hear her mouth!) |

1. I have all kindsa power over her. She knows not to dog me out to bad. (Basically I say she knows better than to.) 2. Did you see the episode of Springer with Saturn? I missed it! (I di recall a comment in WV the other day about "Get me out of her before I need to go find a relative." I am not sure what it meant. |

Hey Jeepus (sorry dude, didn't get a formal intro of you), is Tangie still after your Viffer? Watch out... . Anyway, did you ever get a chance to find out if the ABS works on it or not?

To answer your question... 1. Yes, she still likes the VFR. (Especially since I let her ride it home from the dealer the other day. 2. HELL YES! That ABS works like a champ. I had an up close and personal encounter with a dear last weekend. 70-75mph on a nice little bend in the dark (about 10pm) is a BAD thing! I made the turn to find myself looking at a HUGE deer looking at me. I panicked stopped like a champ. A friend of mine was on her 600RR beside me and about 20-25 feet back and she did the same. I stopped in a lot less time than she did and it didn't lock up at all. I LOVE MY ABS! I think it has saved my ass once already, and that made it worth the purchase alone. Linked brakes + ABS = GREAT stopping performance! (Oh, we cant let Saturn ride the VFR too much though, she might try to steal it and swap the Seca (aka SuperToro) in it's place! Have you ever heard that bike? (You NEED a soundclip!) -Bill |

Trouble with linked braking is that it can't be used without affecting the both brakes, I think if the front is pressed, the rear brake too is slightly applied. It's a good feature for the real world, but not sportbikes I guess.
But I like the ABS feature on the Viffer, although it takes a little longer to stop than standard brakes, but I think it's better than a lowside from overexerting on the brake. No, I never actually heard a Viffer or V-4 engine. My father really likes the bike, if he was serious about getting back into riding, he'd definitely consider it. I occasionally like it as well, but the sport touring weight is a bit discouraging.
