Re: nothing wrong with parking lots

the only thing i have to say is...the problem with parking lot drifting....is you dont learn to control your car properly, i watched a video clip of some parkinglottype event with a cone course, and obviously american drivers..and it was SHAMEFUL the course was like the beaches of normandy for cones. you have alot more pushing you not to screw up if you learn on roads/track, not just an embarassing laugh from your friends. all i have to say is man we suck compared to the guys in japan. lol, but hey do it where ya can man...

Re: nothing wrong with parking lots

They also have places to practice... like dedicated drift tracks. And since Japan is about the size of California... all of it's tracks are concentrated, thus they are easier to get too.

The United States is pretty big in comparison... and all of it's tracks are spread out. The majority of it's tracks are 1/4 style tracks or Ovals... So... us Americans have a ways to go before it's mainstream enough to get us the track time.

But we're getting there... slowly but surely.

Re: nothing wrong with parking lots

Someday we will be with the Japans and we would be able to smoke them, later like they smoke us now, but some people are natural drifters and can smoke the Japs. Someday we will be good at it...(Wish I could Drift)
