As for a Lancer...I'm assuming you are thinking Lancer Evo? If so, finding one for 12K at the least would be pretty nice, but tough to find. As for suggestions, you could always go the route of the SRT-4. A year after they rolled out, people were selling them for cheaper than 15K. that was a few years ago. But, good luck finding one that is unmolested with mods and abuse. A suggestion that I don't see thrown around much are Maximas. 2000+ are actually pretty decent cars. If I remember correctly, they can run mid to low 14's stock. The VQ30 actually opens up pretty decently with basic mods. Nice cars all around too. I'll think of a few more to throw at you later. |

Maxima would be nice, as long as it is the VQ35. I would also say SRT-4, as they can be made stupid fast with little modding.
Celica GTS, depending on where you look, but I would still say the Skittle.

Re: nice cars under 10 Gs
Maximas are good cars, I have one and they are quick. There are a lot of support for them and aftermarket. the 3.0 is a lot better for mods. The 3.5 have a lot more technology in them but they do have more stock power. My maxima is pushing 200Hp right now and is a ton of fun! You can pick up a 99-2002 for 5-7 grand with under 100,000 miles on it. The 2000-2002 have about 25 more HP then the 99's due to a different intake system.
Other good cars would be SRT-4, Stealth R/T TT, 3000GT VR4, 300ZX, and GTS. However not all these cars are practical or easy to work on. Do some real research. Dont just ask opinions and good friggen luck finding a evo in your price range.
