96 camry radiator fan makes sound..

I aveh a 96 camry le. the radiator fan makes some sound when it is rotating. i can hear the sound clearly when just turning on and turning off. I feel like the fans are striking something. can anyone help me figure this out ? how can I fix it ?

it was fine untill yesterday. the sound just started today.

With your car turned off, just go spin the fan by hand and see if it is hitting something. Maybe something blew up and is stuck in it.

ok, i will try checking the fans with the car turned off and will let you know what happens.

Don't do it when the engine is hot. The fans are not connected to the ignition switch and may turn on when the engine is shut off and your fingers are in a bad spot.

i solved it. it was just a wire/cable touching the fan. i moved it a bit away from the fan with my hand. so now it does not make that sound.

Make sure the insulation on that wire/cable wasn't compromised by the fan blades. If it was (especially if it is an electrical wire), repair the insulation.
