98 Bonneville tranny problem, wont shift until 4000rpm!

So last night I added some Lucas transmission fluid treatment because my tranny was shifting a little hard, I drained about 20 ounces of AT fluid by siphoning it out through the dipstick because that was my only option, I live at an apartment and Ive already been yelled at for having my car on jack stands doing some exhaust work, anyways after draining the fluid I added 24 ounces of Lucas treatment through the dipstick. After adding it I took it out for a test drive and now all of a sudden my tranny wont shift to 2nd gear until about 4000rpm. I checked the AT fluid and it was a little high so I took some out thinking maybe the fluid was becoming airatedand causing the problem, and now it is at the correct level. Took it out for another test drive (about 20 miles) and it still does the same thing. This occurs both in Drive and Overdrive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Erik

Eric, Any transmission treatment fluids are meant to be used as a flushing agent. (ie put in, driven briefly, and and then replaced with good clean fluid). Are you able to get your car to a dealership or any shop with a scanner capable of retrieving GM extended trouble codes? I'd be willing to bet you have a P1811 DTC stored (Which btw will not set an SES light). Review the link below. Good Luck!
