I think I can beat all of you. Here's a picture of my 1977 JAWA Transistor 40.
Mods include: rust spots, muffler held on by bailing wire, duct-tape+rat trap rear fender modification (not shown in this picture) & tail-light help on by zip-ties. It used to have a homemade muffler too. To sum up it's performance (and that of all Jawa mopeds ever created) "That's just how Jawas are. Some days everything in the world is right, God smiles down on you and the Jawa, and you'll be going better than any other moped out there. Then sometimes the Jawa magically 'un-tunes' itself and you're 4-stroking horribly and can't get over 17mph."

As far as the topic goes, I do   It's not fast, but it's mine, and i can keep up with most of my friends on "real" bikes. I'm seriously considering buying a RS250 though. |
