tangie, i wish you'd post more often. you crack me up. my wife is so jealous. lucky she can't see your taco!

anyhoo, lyndon, i went to the bike shop this morning and looked at some gear for you. basically price wise from least to mid price, Lazer helmet not good, KBC better but i really liked the HJC AC11 for the money. RRP of $499. it fit me well with no obvious annoyingness (i just made up that word)
saw a good Suomy jacket that was half leather and half Gortex that was ok for the money but nowhere near the quality or style of the Alpinestars.

my guy said that if you work out what you want he will ship it to you free of charge and you'll pay my discounted price (mates rates). this could be good but you could probably get similar discounts yourself and develop a relationship with a shop for future discounts.

Aussie you're totally lost man, she doesn't have a taco anymore. Instead there is a picture of Bush with a comical message. Get a Dell ASAP. hehe.

Tech talk:

What is positive neutral finder?

Quote:
Positive Neutral Finder is gear box technology developed by Kawasaki which simplifies finding neutral while at a stop.

If you are at a stop just shift down all the way to first gear and the next shift up will always be Neutral.
My question is how is it any different than most bikes? When you shift all the way down, it's obviously first gear, and then shift up, it's N, 2, 3, etc. And then switching from neutral to 1st gear is down, but to go back up is shift up twice.

oh shit really. i can't see any smilies or avatars or rep stars. doesn't matter wether its my Toshiba laptop ot 256kbs or tower on 36kbs. i only get it rarely.

after a quick fiddle between computers i think that my norton anti virus is the reason for me not seeing the avatars and smilies. does anyone else run norton and not have troubles?

as for tech talk Fknows. i always just click away till the little green light comes on

You get a green light??? Wow, lucky!

Sometimes I can find neutral by feel, especially if I miss a shift!

As for Norton, I have the latest version of Norton and it's fine with all avatars and smilies. Did you pay your $19.95 and download this years version? (Yeah, yeah, they really lock us in, don't they?)

yeah true that'd be the way to go, but i think until im a fair bit older im just going to be looked down at as a punkass teenager..
unfortunately, respect seems to come with age, not wisdom..

well ive saved all my money for my security guard licence, so the next thing to save for is the bike and gear, and im not getting the bike till ive got the gear, coz i know ill wanna ride it straight away! so yeah ill DEFINATELY keep your offer in mind, and thanks for helpin me out dude!

thanks magic, i've got the latest version on my tower (Internet Security Pack) and work put a coprorate pack on my laptop. as soon as they did it the goodies disappeared. with it disabled it works fine. i'm going to try to configure my firewalls. i've heard XP and norton firewalls conflict.

as for the dvd, i'm not that good with nakeds but it looks like a kawasaki. check out z1000 or z750 on www.kawasaki.com.au
these are the new models and i think Todds bike is the ZR9 based on the old ZX9. Any one else seen Urban Assault with Todd Colbert and his misses?

This reply is from the thread 'witness to accident' regarding kiddies in beemers....

Not sure about your yankee rules but down under, once you're off your learners permit, you go to a provisional licence ('P' plater).
You can then drive unsupervised to a max speed of 100kmh or 60mph.

Most kids (17yr olds) either buy their own shitboxes like Ford Escorts (pre 80's) Ford lasers or worse Geminis. Some can afford better cars but insurance is a killer. Nissan Pulsar's and Toyota Corrolla's are popular for small cars or the most popular larger car is the Holden Commodore. Think family car, four door sedan that has its own race series down here. then you get the wankers in mummy or daddy's car's. Around me that means either BMW 3 series or a 4WD tank. due to inexperience they tend to want to race anything on the road.
