Aveo/Kalos T200 (20025) Light issue
Hi all
I have a strange problem with my Chevrolet Kalos 2005 All light was working 2 days ago but today when i started the car the left rear light was dead.i changed the bulps but it was not that. Here in Europe we have all car turning the driving light on automaticly and mine does that to ofcause. There must be something controlling the automaticly turn on light because when i turn the light on manually. You know normally you dont turn anything on you just start the car and light is on. So when i start the car light turns on but not the left rear/back light. When i manually turn on the light all light is working ? What can the problem be ??? I know you will say just turn the light on manually but thats not a good ide because i’m used to light turning on automaticly so i forget to turn it off again and the batteri will be flat Anyone have an ide what this can be ? Thanks a lot. Lui P Denmark Kalos/Aveo Hatchback T200 2005 Last edited by LuiP; 10-24-2022 at 07:53 AM. |

Re: Aveo/Kalos T200 (20025) Light issue
Welcome Aboard!
If the manual light switch is left on when the ignition is turned off, a warning chime should alert you that the lights are on. I know that does not solve the problem, but should at least allay your fears of leaving the lights on and killing the battery. As for the automatic control, automatic "daytime running lights" are also in use in North America, but that involves only the headlamps. I suspect that the same system is used for the fog/running lights in Europe. My initial suspicion is that there may be relays in the UEC controlling the loads and operated by the BCM, , but finding the documentation for that is not easy. Perhaps your issue is similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7RKc0KG690

Re: Aveo/Kalos T200 (20025) Light issue
Thanks a lot for your replay.
The thing is. There is no sound from leaving the light one when ignition is turned off. Thats why i don't do it. I did it ones and forgot about it and came back to a flat battery. I am also suspecting a relay but i found one by having the hand on the relay then i could feel the moving parts inside it but when i pull it. Same thing. Its weird because when i turn on the ignition the lights turns on accept the rear left light (Brake works) but when i turn the light on manually all lights come one. Also if i i have the light manually turned on and turn off the igition only the from left lights are still lighting ??? I'm so confused about all this. I found a Relay Chevrolet 94580702 12V MAX30A on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/114903560669 Its the samme as the one i pulled out of the car. I hope that helps when i receive it but not sure. I still think its strange not all lights are on when pulling the relay. I suspect there is another relay also I'm not good for this. I can do car stuff but when it comes to this electronics. uhmmm. I will check your link also. Thanks again. |
