ECU question
Are the ECU units for '88 4Runner 22RE and 22R the same? I have a 22RE that I just swapped out for a newer one,and when I was checking something else, I noticed my ECU is labeled as a 22R. While the donor vehicle is still available, should I get the ECU that came with the motor I put in?

Re: ECU question
Yes, if you can obtain it, match the motor with the ECU.

Re: ECU question
The 22R only has an Emissions module. The 22RE has an EFI module and an Emissions module. Which one are you referring to?
