'03 Camry exhaust repair
Hey guys,
My mother ran over a toilet with her 2003 Camry, 2.4L inline-4cyl. That incident caused a tear in the top of the flex section of the exhaust. Various local muffler repair shops gave me quotes ranging from $250-$600. I'm leaning toward doing the repair myself to save her money, but I do not know what product to purchase. Rockauto has listed a Walker product that would be ideal. My concern is with the part's compatability to the vehicle as far as 'california emissions' goes. The vehicle was bought in upstate NY and is licensed/registered the same. -Mark T. |

Bring your VIN to a Toyota parts counter and get a part number. Use that to find a replacement.

Did that top flex section damage the catalytic converter? if so, thats where the money is going. If your replacing the converter you don't want to go too cheap. Some will just crap out on you or the insides will melt and you'll spend more money in the long run. I would have someone do it for you and give you a warranty on it if your not a mechanic.
