Question Jeep computer and sensors

Hypothetical quandary going on. Jeep stopped running today after a turtle speed change, (limp mode) and then a stall. won't start again and is killing the battery. This is the same problem I have with my Cadillac SRX4. Always shows crank and Cam sensor codes. 4 dealers cannot fix it. Cost me a bundle to find that out. Back to Hypothetical... If there is an excess of water in the gas due to recent flooding and rains. Would the fuel and exhaust sensors be adjusted by the computer and throw the sensors off creating the codes? Is there a way to test the fuel at the engine to rule this out? I know of 3 other vehicles of different types having the same problem. I welcome any knowledge on the subject. Also will a reset put the crank and cam sensors in learn mode?

Was the vehicle partially submerged?

Add some HEET to your gas if you suspect water.
