Olds silhouette Heater core Replaced
Hi,
let me start for the beginning. I have a burning smell inside the cabin. I took it to the dealer, they did a cooling system pressure test and told me that the test was normal and no leaks were detected. I kept getting this burning smell inside. I had another mechanic look at it. and he took the whole comparment under the dash apart and found out ,were the hose connects to the heater core from the engine compartment there was a slight leak and it was coming inside somehow. anyway I still went ahead and had him replace the heater core and all hoses that connects to the heater core. but the burning smell never went away. he took the blower motor out to see if there is anything in there that could cause this smell and it was fine. he poored some water inside the air intake vent no water or any other liquid leaking inside. Does anyone ever experienced this problem? Please help! Thanks!!! |

Re: Olds silhouette Heater core Replaced
I'd be looking at other possibilities for sources for the burning smell. It may be difficult and time consuming and expensive( if a garage does it,) to locate the source of the electrical problem.
