Kick ass, where iwork just got pre production brochures on the Buick LaCrosse. I can post more info on it if people like, since i stole one. They aren't supposed to be seen by the public yet.. Engine options are interesting- choose between the series3 3800 or the new 3.6. Personally i'd go with the 3800.

Re: Anyone know anything about the Buick Lacrosse?
Ok today I had a training class on the new GM engines. I got some good info from the class. Engines we went over are new or coming out soon. The 2.8Land the 3.5L Vortec, The 3.6L HFV-6, the 4.6L LH2 Northstar and the 3.5L HVV-6.
Since the 3.6 will be in the Lacrosse I will give you the info I was told. The 3.6L HFV(High Feature V6)!

Intake and exhaust
Cooling system
New type of O2 senor called a WIDE BAND OXYGEN SENSOR. Returnless fuel system. Continuosly variable valve timing. Intake and exhaust has camshaft phasing which eliminates the need for an EGR and air pump. The cam phaser gives you 50 degrees of crankshaft adjustment. It has 4 cam sensors.

Re: Anyone know anything about the Buick Lacrosse?
Its about time GM makes a smaller V6 that can produce as much as what the dodge 3.5 has been producing for a few years. I still find it funny that GM has been using the 3.8 with only 200 hp for so many years. My 1995 Chrysler has a 3.5 that came stock with 214hp and 221 torque. The Ones theyve been using the last couple years have had 245hp and 250 torque. With out a super charger. Its nice to see GM finally Catch up.

Re: Anyone know anything about the Buick Lacrosse?
My 1995 3.5 v6 has 156,000 miles on it and hasnt been rebuilt yet. neither has my transmission. My engine leaks a little bit of oil but its still got plenty of power and can smoke a gm 3.8 that isnt super charged. My dads buick lesabre had the 3.8 and it broke a connecting rod at 78,000 miles and punched a whole in the block.

Re: Anyone know anything about the Buick Lacrosse?
I have owned 2 chrysler/Dodge products in my life, both of them were crap, one couldn't stay running, the other leaked and burned oil so much I had to carry 6 bottles of oil with me where ever I went. These 2 vehicles left me stranded so much it was unbelievable. Since then I have owned nothing but GM vehicles, most of them with a 3.8. I now have a 1990 Buick Park Ave with 200,000 on it and it doesn't burn oil, it doesn't leak anything, and it has plenty of pick up.
Did I mention this engine or the transmission hasn't been rebuilt.
