Question Got a problem

My g-pa gave me a 472 caddy motor he had sitting in his shed for a few years, and I've decided to freshen it up and cram it in a light unassuming rearwheel drive body for a nice sleeper. Ideas on what I could realisticly put it in? BTW, I can't move firewalls or the like. I can relocate rads, but that's the extent of it.

Re: Got a problem

Moved to Non-Spec.

A 472 Caddy motor, I don't know much about the older Caddy blocks... but I'd say shoe-horn it into something like a 2nd gen X-body (Chevy Nova/ Pontiac Ventura).

Or a 2nd gen F-body (Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird)...

Re: Got a problem

^ would it fit into a 240z actually I really don't like the idea of a GM v8 in a Nissan, but w.e. either wayI don't think it'll fit, but I'd say a Nova would be pretty bitchin'

Re: Got a problem

I know a normal Chevy Big Block can fit into a 240z.

I'm not sure about a Caddy block, back then they had their own motors and the Caddy motors were quite the large engines.

I don't recommend a big block of any make in a 240z, it fits too tight and getting to the plugs is equal to pulling teeth.

Small blocks fit just fine.
