Yeah I could only find my summer gloves so my hands got cold fast, but it was later in the day after work... not as nice as it was earlier in the day. Then I wound up sliding slightly on some salt left over on a bend so I decided to pack it in till maybe this monday when its supposed to be 50+

Re: This weather is KILLING ME!!!
It's about 10 degrees as a high in the Smokey Mountains. I just can't help but to go on 20 min. rides here and there. I only got to ride the Dragon once twice this year.

Re: This weather is KILLING ME!!!
aaahhhhhh, summer.
every day here has been shorts and t-shirt weather. since we're in a drought, not much rain. its good to be an aussie. Ps. if i said it was 25-30 degree weather, you guys would think its freezing but converted to yank, its 75-85.

Have your fun now! When us Northern Hemisphere bikers are enjoying our summer, you'll be cold! I haven't ridden in over a month! It sucks every time I get a new bike magazine in the mail, and all I can do is just read about bikes, instead of riding mine! 50 degrees forecasted for next week keeps my hopes of riding alive!

Re: This weather is KILLING ME!!!
I guess i wished hard enough: tomorrow is going to be near 70 here. I just may break out the bike from hibernation. Though i wont enjoy getting salty water and gravel all over it.

Re: This weather is KILLING ME!!!
Dude, this shit has GOT to end... the damn weather today was between 65-70*F and there were bikes EVERYWHERE. At least I got to go for about a 1-2 mile run and then another 4-5 mile walk... in shorts and a t-shirt. Global warming BLOWS!

Re: This weather is KILLING ME!!!
Don't be a bunch of girls. I live in the northeast, this has been a very mild winter. I've ridden almost every day.
If you rode a little more, you wouldn't lose track of your gloves. (Besides, if you rode more, you'd know you need a spare pair of winter gauntlets for when the first pair doesn't dry overnight after riding home in that 38 degree rain; two rainsuits is best too) Yes, you have to be prepared for it, you have to understand what it does to your bike and to the roads, but it's just cold weather. What, are skiers tougher than you? I don't hear them moaning about the cold. Throw a leg over it. |
