2009 G6 2.4li engine
crazy deal here. i had to replace my front passenger side cv axle. so as needed, i did so. but then three times the new cv axle popped out. leaving me stranded. what can i do to fix this. need help so bad

There is a detent ring which clips into a groove in the differential output shaft. The ring on the replacement axle or the output shaft groove could be damaged. Are you certain the ring was fully engaged when the half shaft was installed? Some of them can require a fairly sharp blow around the inner joint to get the axle to fully seat.
It is also possible that if the replacement axle was an aftermarket piece, it was manufactured incorrectly.

well after some looking into i pulled off the ring. its attached to the trans. so the cv axle end that goes into the trans is a female end. so after looking at the ring. i noticed the shoulders are very rounded and dented up. so im going to replace it. is it a part i can pick up from autozone
