Progress: Impala SS '94 with LT-5 engine.
Well I am of again!(woho!) And I have at last started on my Impala SS.
First i must say that this model have a lot of fitting problems and it is almost as a snap fast car. Boring! Less if you re build it. I am building this one with tube frame in front new suspension, new interior and of course a new engine will be mounted. I am thinking of some kind of Pegasus rims for it, and a flat black or a gloss black paint job. This is just a mock up with everything stock and I did not use any glue. Here I have started to cut some parts away. The red marked stuff is the things that I later on will remove. I want a manual gearbox in it so I needed to cut the cup holder away. And also the pedals. I noticed that there is a gap between the body and the interior so i need to fill the gap up so it looks better. More progress will come and you can se updates on my web page before I put them up here.

Hey,
I LOVE this car!!!!! Any way you do it will be awsome! How about flat black, or grey primer with red pinstripe flames? You could put the police "steelies" on there to make it appear to be a sleeper....Keep up the great work. Frank X. |

Looking good. I've always liked that body SS.
The gap between the interior and doors. Are you sure that the gap isn't for the windows? Just a thought.

Looks good
These models usually dont have side windows tho, so i really think the gap isnt for windows. I could be wrong tho? |

Re: Progress: Impala SS '94 with LT-5 engine.
Thanks for the coments guys nis.k.a. the rear part of the gap might be for the window. but in the front there shall not be any windows.. i think.. but i have been thinking of making it look like the window on the pasenger side have ben winded down abit.
I think i want it to look as a sleeper... stock body a discreet flat black and some nice rims.. or i might put on some black steel rims. well got to go!

I'll have to get you thoose plastic rods and sheets so you can get a move on with this one. Gonna be a sweet one for sure! A IPMS-Open entry maybe?

Re: Progress: Impala SS '94 with LT-5 engine.
I am building this same kit.(sorry no pics till X-mas) I haven't decided on an engine combo but I was also thinking flat black(seems to be common on this style SS.) Can't go too high performance though because it has low-pro tires, suspention & body drop. Good luck!!
