2003 Alero quits with air conditioning

Whenever I turn the AC or defrost on, the car looses all RPM and chugs and then dies. I just have the fuel filters and fuel pump replaced. I've also had the spark plugs replaced. Any idea what to check next? ThanksA

Re: 2003 Alero quits with air conditioning

It's a 2.2 L engine. And no....it doesn't quit when my headlights are turned on. If I turn my air on while I'm moving, it just jerks and then if I slow way down or stop, the car shuts off. And apparently it isn't happening all of the time, just on hot days when I would like to have my air conditioning on.
