Looking for Borg Warner M-12 Information
1968 AMX, 390, BW M-12, 88K, needs some work. I know it's a lot like the Ford FMX, but not enough to do a complete rebuild without specific info and parts.
I'd appreciate any pointers in the right direction.

Damn, nobody has put any input on this?
You've probably come upon something by now, but maybe something through Hemmings listings? I find allot of 'oldie' but useful stuff through them. |

Re: Looking for Borg Warner M-12 Information
Have you guys tried asking on any of the AMC-only sites?
Eddie Stakes' Planet Houston AMX: Eddie's been going for fifteen years or more on the web, and is the first place anybody should look when it comes to AMC http://www.planethoustonamx.com The AMX files, with the AMC-List mailing list. AMC Techno-geeks galore: http://www.amxfiles.com/amc-list/index.cfm The American Motors Forums. The genuine big dog of AMC-specific forums http://amccars.net The AMC Forums. This was originally started when the other AMC Forums shut down for a while. Then the original came back, and now there are two. Member tbenvie over there has recently been posting a huge amount of factory documentation, on everything from SC/Rambler press stuff to obscure production numbers. http://www.theamcforum.com/ I've also got a parts page on my own site, where I provide some links to parts vendors and literature places: route66rambler.com/parts The AMC Eagle Nest Although not related to the BW tranny, the AMC Eagle Nest Forums are full of enthusiastic, and sometimes knowledgeable members, but of course their main thrust is the AMC Eagle. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it, as I feel it's the best AMC site anywhere on the web. Also by far the largest, member wise, with over a thousand members. AMC Eagle Nest Forums - Index What counts here is lots of contacts. That is what you will find in these places. |
