You can either buy it like that or have a machine shop do it. Or you can do it yourself! RIGHT HERE! |

Re: Is it possible to clean my injectors?
PoPilot - Yep. Crimped like that on purpose. 1) For clearance for the front axle/driveline and 2) For backpressure (Inline 6 needs some backpressure). When I get my Banks Im gonna go have a muffler shop fab me a downpipe - cheapest way to do it!
So... If Jeep crimps the dumb thing intentionally, are we doing bad things by opening it up? Wouldn't the rest of the exhaust system put enough back pressure on it to suffice or is it more the location of the restriction? Or should I just put my header on the stock system and call it a day? As far as the TB boring, I did mine myself, go to http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoTBboring.htm for the procedure. It's easy.

I wouldnt say bad things - Ive been running a 2.5" exhaust with a free flow cat and dyno muffler with no noticeable loss of power or torque. Anything is better then the stock system! |
