12.9 myth?
i'm trying to prove/disprove a rumor i've over-heard a few times (from suby owners mainly)...
that a bone-stock 2004+ WRX sti can run 12.9 1/4 quarter mile time, and even a couple rumors of 12.7, on a completely stock setup. please don't post, "well its possible w/ the right driver, or if the conditions were right"...obviously a lot of things have to do with 1/4 times (driver's ability, temperature, humidity, etc)...that's a given....but w/ those variables being optimal, can the stock WRX sti run around 12.9 1/4 mile time stock? personally i believe that it could, but i've never personally seen it happen at the track, and without any evidence like that it's kind of hard to plead a case w/ someone. so if anyone has witnessed it or has a video proving it please reply. thanks. |

Re: 12.9 myth?
Sounds to me more than likely this troll doesn't want to hear the car can run a sub-13 second 1/4

Re: 12.9 myth?
look at what some magazines pulled with the cars, such as Motor Trend, Car and Driver or Road and Track

Re: 12.9 myth?
4/10ths of a second would be hard to pull off improvement even over the worst driver..
But with the right wether conditions track, and driver..As in conditions.... But 4/10ths to pick up in a stock car would be hard.... But ad race fuel... and start the car about 2 minutes before the run with the hood up till just before the run...... Conditions conditions conditions... But maybe with race fuel..... |
