Broken Sun Visor Mirrors
The mirror covers from the driver side and passenger side sun visors on my daughter's 99 GMC Jimmy are broken. The small latch mechanisms are the problem. I don't see any way to repair them and I went to the local DIY yard to see if I could find replacements but the ones I found that were the same color also had the same problem with the mechanisms. I looked on RockAuto.com to find this part but no success. Do I have to go to the dealership for this part or can I find a good replacement somewhere else?

Re: Broken Sun Visor Mirrors
not a fix, but a work around.. buy a couple cheap CD holders that go on your visors. Mine was broke on one side and as long as the visor was up you whre ok, but as soon as you had to use it the lights came on and the cover fell off.. I know its hinkey.. and a couple rubber bands would do the same.. but i picked couple up for $.99 at a parts store..

Did you try looking in other GM cars and trucks? These are often the sort of part that gets used on lots of different models.
