Fuel sensor
Have 2005 sub for and had coolant replaced. Next morning my check engine light went on. Took it in again and diagnosed as needing front fuel sensor replaced. Could they have spilled coolant or could there be a leak that caused it. It seems to coincidental to me and I just bought this car 4 months ago! They want me to pay for repair?!

Re: Fuel sensor
Hmmmmm, are you aware there was a recall on the 2005 Forester related to the fuel system?
Here is a link to partial details: http://www.automd.com/tsb/bulletin_b280490/ I'll be honest that I don't know if the bulletin I posted is even remotely related to your problem, but it might be worth investigating. If there's not a connection, then you're probably out of luck and paying out of pocket for the expense. BTW, are you working with a dealership on this, or a local repair shop? That could also play a role in how much of an expense you're working with.
