Tires
My son in law has a 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS
What is a good all season tire to put on the car. I'm looking to keep the cost below $130 per tire if possible. I'm new to the imports and the last thing I want to do is put on a noisy and poor handling tire. Thanks, Ray |

Re: Tires
Toyo Proxes are a more neutral all-season, they're definitely biased towards Southern conditions.
Check out either subydude.com or tirerack.com for some good options.

Re: Tires
Tirerack.com
Yokohama or Dunlop. Cheap and warranted to 65-80K miles. Look for them on the site and read the reviews/ratings. Ones Im talking about are the Avid TRZ and Signature touring. |

But this car is going to NYC so he will be fine. I just have it up here to fix it up for him while they figure out what they are going to do about parking! Besides - Up here we're real good at keeping the roads clean and with 4WD, it would do fine. He had the Aquatred's on it before when he lived in Buffalo and never had any problems. |

Re: Tires
Well in NYC we basically get about 2 blizzards and rest is slush and coatings for say a good month and a half.
Aquatreds are actually pretty good in snow. Assuming your son-in-law is young and with the confidence he has knowing his car is AWD add having high performance tires...equalds bad Idea. |
