Cheap place to buy an CAI?

Hey ya'll - I'm sure this is a repost, so... I'm a dick.

But, I was hoping you guys could help out with the searching and save me some time... I'm looking to buy an AEM or Injen CAI for my 2000 GS-R and don't care to spend too much ($250 or less) who's got some good sites? I prefer new also, not used.

Thanks

ps: have checked:
Carstuff.com
Partsbin
Summit Racing
and all the other top 15 that come up on a google search.

thanks again.

Ebay. Just make sure it's name brand AEM or Injen but you can get really good deals.

why does it have to be AEM or Injen? an intake is an intake when it comes to hondas...grab a cheap one from ebay and slap on a K&N air filter...the performance difference between that and a brand name intake will be very minimal if even

Re: Cheap place to buy an CAI?

An excellent point - my first civic ( a 92 vx hatch) - had a "CAI" built from a $25 short ram pipe from autozone and a dryer vent flex pipe - ghetto as hell, but seemed to do the trick.

The only reason why I say AEM or Injen (feel free to laugh and point) is for aesthetic purposes. Just want a one piece pipe that looks pretty.

I ended up buying one off of Car-stuff.com, cost me $260 - quite pricey - but its got the cool powder coat blue and I think it comes with a reach around.

For anyone reading this post... both the above posts are correct, a pipe is a pipe, simply providing the most turbulent free cooler air supply for the the TB, there is no practical need to spend the cash on some name brand. I suppose I've gotten snotty in my years of doing this stuff.
